Join Sew Collective CIC for our Summer Fashion Makers programme, where young people will learn practical fashion and sewing skills while creating stylish projects they can proudly wear, use and showcase.
Whether you're trying sewing for the first time or looking to develop your skills, this hands-on programme will guide you through the exciting process of designing, creating and finishing your own fashion projects in a fun and supportive environment.
What You'll Learn
✂️ Sewing machine skills and safe working techniques
📏 Understanding sewing patterns and taking measurements
🧵 Fabric cutting and preparation
👗 Garment construction techniques
✨ Professional finishing techniques
🎨 Fashion design, creativity and personal style

Throughout the programme, students will create a selection of exciting projects, including:

Projects may vary depending on each student's progress and creativity.

We'll provide everything you need, including fabrics, sewing machines, tools and materials.
By the end of the programme, students will have developed valuable sewing and fashion skills, created a collection of handmade projects, and gained the confidence to continue designing and making their own creations long after the summer holidays.
